(actually when I'm watching it, a scientific part of me feels offended. But at least Chris looks good. And what annoys me more anyway is AlunaGeorge's take at mental health care that goes beyond free interpretation and artistic licence, it's just inappropriate)

Colours and details make them close to Gang Gang Dance in a good way. And it's Reagan's Skeleton, my most favourite track of the new album so it is not difficult to reach my heart, not at all

Daniel Isenberg, Yeasayer's Anand Wilder Breaks Down Their Album Fragrant World

Wow at Henrietta Lacks reference. Science and art are not mutually exclusive, my mind is calm, my toes are warm.
Sweet little photo from @beo. Warsaw, Poland. Anyone to accompany me?

Nice archives: Yeasayer on their album Odd Blood, inspiration and ideas behind every track, photographed by my favourite Liz Weinberg. Wish there was something like that on Fragrant World because this article has shown me how far from Yeasayer I was in my plain and boring interpretation of their lyrics, music, and inspiration, and how amazingly intricate (which I was sure of but knew it only instinctively) these guys' minds are.

Sometimes I wish there were people recognising the amazing potential of Yeasayer as creators of the greatest love songs in the last five years

30 Day Song Challenge

I wanted to make that before but didn't manage. Yet, I found it at least 2 months ago, and thought of tracks since then. So... here you go, all at once. Coming days may bring some changes. And I'd love to discuss music with anyone willing to.

Day 01 – Your favorite song
Difficult thing as there is no such most probably. But, Soup's name makes me obliged. Youthless by Beck. That 60's, terribly sexy mix of guitars and percussion, and the way Mr Hansen sings they were helpless. We were, but with how such a great company we had in our hopelessness, too.

Day 02 – Your least favorite song
I'd vote Final Countdown (who names the band Europe? I'd like to establish Lubelszczyzna, as it's the Polish region I come from, if you're not from Poland, try saying it fluently) or Forever Young. I want to die in my late 80's when I hear the vocals.

Day 03 – A song that makes you happy
Peter, Bjorn and John, Young Folks. I heard it today on the radio and I knew it's gonna make my number 3. I tend to forget about how cute, relaxing, simple yet not-too-simple this track is.

Day 04 – A song that makes you sad
Radiohead, All I Need. Because during the worst period of my life I was an animal trapped in the hot car.

Day 05 – A song that reminds you of someone
The White Stripes, Fall in Love with a Girl is the track that me and a friend (a boy) of mine used to discuss. Bobby don't consider it cheating and there are two sides of brain.

Day 06 – A song that reminds of you of somewhere
I've just come back from London where a friend had been singing Lady GaGa's singles all the time. I'm afraid that this lady will be my reminder. God, she's not even British!

Day 07 – A song that reminds you of a certain event
Calvin Harris, Colours. One of the best moments of the best DJ set I've ever been to (not that these were many).

Day 08 – A song that you know all the words to
These are LOADS as I'm the lyric lover. But time for some indie hype and I've already described the greatness of the lyrics of this song today, so... Here you go with Animal Collective's On a Highway. Who's not jealous of Noah's dreaming?

Day 09 – A song that you can dance to
I hate dancing, I love dance music. Funny, isn't it? But, if I REALLY had to dance, I'd choose... Several tracks, well. Simian Mobile Disco's I Believe, damn sexy. LCD Soundsystem's Daft Punk Is Playing at My House because it's true. And something from Daft Punk, no matter what.

Day 10 – A song that makes you fall asleep
Dance music again (repetitive beats are so warm). One of my favourites is High Come Down by Junior Boys. But I love listening to everything from them in bed, to get asleep or feel sexy, depending on a mood. Still, great guys, great time with their minimalism going through the empty, dark house, oh yes.

Day 11 – A song from your favorite band
Do I have such a band? I don't know, when the Headmaster asked me that during the Very Important Presentation at school, at first I replied, "Oh God." But it can be Atmosphere from Joy Division. I've just ended Touching from the Distance, Ian's biography by his wife, I love them, I've always wanted someone to tell me Don't walk away in silence... And we'd be looking each other to the eyes, deeply, wearing trench coats and getting wet in the rain. And I'd be black & white in my eyes. No additional terrible smoking required (in the rain?).

Day 12 – A song from a band you hate
Wonderwall by Oasis. I do not hate them, really, but they are (were, as the band's split?) irritating me, and that's their only song I really like and can stand.

Day 13 – A song that is a guilty pleasure
Tear You Apart by She Wants Revenge. That band name. That cover. That fucking lyrics about having sex at school and having sexual fantasies about someone you shouldn't have had. And keep singing I want to hold you close (...) as I whisper in your ear, 'I fucking want to tear you apart.' Dear God, it is sexual kitsch, who am I?

Day 14 – A song that no one would expect you to love
Emszi chose Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip's Thou Shalt Always Kill, and I second that. And maybe Atmosphere's You. As I don't listen to hip-hop, do I?

Day 15 – A song that describes you
Beck's Volcano. During the worst period of my life, when Modern Guilt had played an important role (next to In Rainbows, true), I came to the conclusion that
I am tired of people who want to be pleased
But I still wanna please you
fits me perfectly. Still. Also, MGMT are good in capturing how I feel, bows for It's Working (in your mind, but not your heart, the whole me), and We Don't Care (we thought we felt home but we never departed). I know I am a teenage hipster.

Day 16 – A song that you used to love but now hate
Feeling Good, of course in that Muse version. I enjoyed the original one, but watching Muse performing it at Glastonbury (? probably) in HD quality was astonishing those three years ago. Now I'm bored and didn't even check the whole The Resistance, no sentiment.

Day 17 – A song that you hear often on the radio
The only one I am able to think of is Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon, sorry.

Day 18 – A song that you wish you heard on the radio
Joking, right? There are so many that I had to start working at the school radio broadcasting system. But let's say... Two Weeks by Grizzly Bear. It appears in the commercials, why not on the radio?

Day 19 – A song from your favorite album
There are some but I vote for Ambulance from Blur's Think Tank. Great album, great track, everything is great, including Banksy's cover.

Day 20 – A song that you listen to when you’re angry
Currently it's Doe Deer from newest Crystal Castles. Generally... I like to shout with Jack White, not having a particular favourite track.

Day 21 – A song that you listen to when you’re happy
Royksopp, Happy Up Here. Simple.

Day 22 – A song that you listen to when you’re sad
Interpol, Untitled. I always think of that person that will, not sometimes, never, come round to surprise me when I'm down.

Day 23 – A song that you want to play at your wedding
Yeasayer, Mondegreen. Everybody's talking about me and my baby, making love to the morning light...

Day 24 – A song that you want to play at your funeral
Arcade Fire, Rebellion (Lies). The track is great and the album is Funeral so it's obvious.

Day 25 – A song that makes you laugh
Groove Armada with I See You, Baby. Having it sung by a pretty good looking boy in the middle of school corridor was hillarous, and I still cannot forget that we were quite close to start shaking our asses.

Day 26 – A song that you can play on an instrument
I don't play instruments, just to let you know. But I can sing something, generally most of my discography which is over 6000 tracks. Remove instrumental, it still is 5800-5500, I expect.

Day 27 – A song that you wish you could play
I've got a complex about musicians but performing Modest Mouse's Tiny Cities Made of Ashes as a part of a band (vocals or that FUCKING MINDBLOWING BASSLINE) would be nice.

Day 28 – A song that makes you feel guilty
Coldplay, Clocks. Very commercial and Coldplay is as deep as Paulo Coelho but it is a track that brings me up every time I hear it, I can't help it.

Day 29 – A song from your childhood
Daft Punk's One More Time. I loved the video, all DP's videos. And I wanted to be as cool as that blonde (I'm too!) tambourine player. Sorry my rhythm-related abilities are so poor.

Day 30 – Your favorite song at this time last year
I checked that on my terribly old and abandoned music blog, and it says it used to Archangel by Burial. Burial, still my love.

Now, the world can be an unfair place at times
— Yeasayer, "Ambling Alp"
